i made a collage with the expressions of our loved 5ds heros when they heard about the new yugioh.angryness, desperateness, sadness, crazyness
i know that many ygo fans think that zexal will be stupid so you see, they are not amused too
Edit: The german dub of zexal will finally air, I will try to give it a chance and watch it when i find time. I'm wondering if they'll dub it themself like they did with the later episodes of 5ds, with less cuts. btw they are still showing 5ds each weak I really hope they'll show us the final episodes one day

I haven't seen Zexal yet, I really don't know if I even want to....
Yuma's design is more over the top and ridiculous than Yugi's from season 1, I heard his deck is absolutely terrible, the fact he has an ancient spirit that is an expert at dueling sounds like a direct copy paste from Yami Yugi, I hear his friends are as annoying as he is, I hear the series has taken a more lighthearted and goofy kid approach, especially when compared to 5D's.... and to be perfectly honest, I am not a fan of Xyz (Exceed) cards (unless its the XYZ Dragon Cannon cards 
I think I would rather prefer to pretend that the anime ended on a good note with Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's (best season hands down

when gx came out, people tought it sucked, but when it ended the changed their minds
the same applies for 5ds with the "CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES" , when it ended people loved it
so why do they keep judging the series by their cover
i mean they judged zexal by the hair and the eye piece

well first yugi and yusei were mostly serious most of the time and we loved that, for jaden he was a bit "energetic" but not extreme and well,yuma..... is a bit too much. its like comparing the main character from gundam seed and gundam seed destiny from the main character of the 3rd season of gundam age.

so i think that arguement is invalid, i mean his 13, still a kid

still zexal may not be the best but it sure hell is the most happy fun times one
i think gx was more happy than zexal was, i mean you got kaito whos little brother is "sick" im not going to spoil, we got the gentlemanly family whos seeking revenge, the 3 boys in the family going under a lot of feelings, Astral almost died in a tearful scene, there have been constant pain, to a point where one of the characters shark suffered a bad bleeding in his side, theres the dark looking barians (two of them are silly tough), the omg shit scary Vector, the devilish number 96.
i mean....if you look to the fandom of zexal for example on tumblr, there are a lot of times they have posted the "OMG MY FEELS" line
i belive zexal might be the most dramatic yu-gi-oh if you ask me, not the best but damn is it dramatic at times

well considering the setting of Zexal is this Futuristic Utopia where the originals are probly dead by this point. A Cameo with originals is unlikely. I do agree Zexal is pretty good. Instead of having a character who is instantly the king of games (Yugi), A Character who almost never loses (Jaden), and an instant bad ass (Yusei). We have a character who does lose from time to time. I like they decided to do that with Yuma.

Well zexal i didn't watched much of the show yet, but i definitly don't like the drawing style very much. I read some description about the new heros, but I think I'm on the evil side this time^^

I like it (not as much as the other four series though). The only major villain I've seen is Kaito/Kite and he is grade A badass. And as of the time he teamed up with Yuma, he's got the strongest XYZ out there.
