Dr.Ballista is a Bearded Vulture who is a notorious sky pirate and mad scientist. He madly loves three things: His wife, robotics, and explosives. He combines the latter two to create deadly machines and robots to steal treasure (to fund his engineering) and terrorize people for his own amusement. His plans are usually foiled by Jasper and Xylia, but result he's ever so excited to go back to the drawing board and create new death machines to kill them with.

He commands an army of robotic henchmen he calls Appleheads who are quite capable at accomplishing evil duties despite their tiny size.
