I was using a Sigma 180mm Macro lens . This lens is great for DOF .
I believe the 180mm is off the market but the 150mm Marco lens is up and going for Nikon and Canon .

I couldn't beliefe that the smallest of them cuties is even smaller than a bigger butterfly!

Yes about 5 feet away from this shot. They set there and protect their feeder.

I've heard the can be pretty aggressive towards other hummingbirds. Kind of funny to see I guess b/c they are so small.

I had one hit me in the top my head and bring blood . It was fighting with another. Also I've found a few dead ones on the ground from fighting .

OMG that's crazy! Who would think that such a tiny bird could be so blood thirsty! Tho I know of other small animals that can be just as bad. Betta fish are one of them! What is it with these outwardly beautiful looking creatures being so aggressive!
I was hit in the head once by a Blue Jay and that hurt! I didn't even know why at first then I looked a few feet in front of me and saw a fledgling on the ground.

You are totally right with that! It seems like a lot of people that are "good looking" seem to be more inclined to have an attitude problem. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and I'd rather be around someone that others see as not so great looking but has an awesome personality. The problem is that I think they get so full of themselves they loose site of what is really important in life. That is actually pretty sad.
