they are amazing, and what an incredible photo. wonderful ... I was out near a massive amount of honeysuckle when one crossed my path one day, utterly fascinating.

This is one of those hummingbird moths! I'm surprised you captured him on film. Those things are SO fast. It's amazing how bird-like they can seem too.
