One day a group of heroes saved the life of a man and his family. Forever thankful for their bravery, the family worshipped the said heroes as modern gods until the day a terrible tragedy struck the family and David Gore, loving husband and a father lost everything. Blaming heroes he worshipped for not being there to save his family, David took a heroes journey which lead him to a mountain of dying Asura god. While questioning the morality of a hero, David was tempted by said god into enacting vengeance on heroes who ruined his life. Taking fallen gods offer, David took fallen gods weapon of mass destruction and transformed into a gruesome monster with faces of his wilfe and children engraved on his torso and forearms. Fueled by revange, David now calling himself Grave the God-Butcher became a notorious mass murderer of superheroes, aided by powers bestowed upon him.
