All sacrifice--all ever sacrifice of the flesh, from mice to elephants, and the insects that have shat, fucked, died--unmade and remade, their blood is given, remembered, they shall not be forsaken, those consumed--they are emulsified in this Body, the kings with the animalcules, the weak churned with the wicked. Their pleasures, regrets, sins, wishes, gone yet restless, their minds are placated by the taste of one another, freed from flesh, yet the blood itself is still restless, the blood does not forget.
