The ideas that wouldn't let me go.Recently, I've been having some ideas that kept piling into my mind, ideas that could honestly be well used by D&D players and more. So, as an aside, D&D players, feel free to use what I'm about to put.
Basically, some undead concepts that came to mind wouldn't stop bothering me, so I decided to type them into a document. Finally finished them to get them off my mind, in between my typical routines, which took a dang long while. And now, will post them here. Hope you all enjoy:
Skeletal:
Skeletal undead are made of nothing but bone. Though, the types of skeletal undead can vary beyond this fact in a number of ways. Their sub-types are:
Tooled: Normal skeletons equipped with additional tools for both protection and attack. These skeletons have a knack for adaptation, sometimes even replacing limbs with tools. Having to make do due to the lack of powers compared to others beyond just reassem

No prob.^^ Think this will inspire you to create a number of specific undead with this in mind? Because many of what I listed were mainly categories, not specifics. Heck, most of them don't even take tiers into account, like Lich evolving into an Elder Lich, for example.
