Im so fucking tired of seeing works reposted everywhere without a goddamn link to the source. Watermark, even if its a bit late, maybe I can prevent it from being stolen from here again.YAY HD UBER ARTISAN WORLD RENDER IT TOOK ME WEEKS TO RENDER IT PROPERLY so I ended up hating it cuz of the time spent to collaborate with Maya and get over its moody phases but it gives me nostalgic vibes so I kinda love it too and I could just lie on the floor and cry about my childhood and stuff
God I need to shut up

that spyro model was pretty ugly and outdated, I made a new one (months ago) but I'm not really satisfied with it, so it's an endless loop of misery and spyro models being recycled :')

I finally found it! The improper credit EVERY FUCKING 'news'-website is giving is infuriating, and if that wasn't enough, google doesn't even find your's when reverse-image searching.
Especially with the Remake being announced the amout of no-credit-'reposts' is ridiculous and I can't believe that seemingly every 'reporter' is 1.: taking your amazing work for granted and 2.: using it even though it's obviously not the remake (and btw looks way better than what TFB did)
Sorry for the rant, I guess I'm using this comment as a vent right now...

pfff don't worry, ofc I'ma as mad as you are about credits and reposting. Thankfully some nice DA users / friends on fb have been helping me for a while, asking to put proper credits on those reposts, but well, I'm a bit tired now and I've learned a lesson.

Nostalgia!! Spyro was the very first game I got on PS1. Played it countless times until the very end, and even then did several of those "Easter Egg" missions with hidden passages. One of the games that defined my childhood growing up in the 1990s, aside from Pokémon on Gameboy of course

You did a great job of drawing the artisans home hub. I love the detail you did on SPyro. The amount of detail in this drawing is amazing, you should feel proud of yourself. I really hope the Spyro remakes look good as this.

It sucks that it has been stolen as much as it has. I saw this pop up everywhere lately and I actually knew it was yours. It was a while since I favorited this. It's still such a stunning piece of work and you should be very proud of this. As for the Spyro remake hype, I really hope it'll happen and that it looks as awesome as this! Keep up the great work.

I absolutely think this is a masterpiece! I'm a die hard Spyro fan and have been since the day it came out. This is a beautiful and stunning remake. Everything looks so bright and alive! Spyro seriously looks bad ass, he looks very well detailed and dragony!. Everything looks so perfect i love it! Keep up the good work!

I have an idea.. What do you think of just putting your signature/link on the picture? And to make sure it's not just cropped out, near the center of the picture? You could even sort of work it in to the picture itself so that it's not obstrusive nor too..blended in..?

This is amazing work, btw! I really enjoyed the original game back in the day, and this is a beautiful re-imagination of what it could be with today's tech.
I would love it even more if it got ported to the PC, since I don't have any consoles anymore...

appeared recently and your render and theirs look uncannily alike? I wonder what's the story behind such a resemble o: I am legitimately curious. My only guess is that their render was perhaps inspired by yours but still made from scratch, but i really wonder nonetheless. What are your thoughts, Goophou?

Well they do look alike, and they might have been inspired by my own render....but somehow I guess it's just some sort of linear workflow. I mean, take spyro's graphics and power them up, and that's what you get. There would be much of a difference if some sort of personal style was embedded into the world and its appearance, but as long as you stick with the "hq" version of the place, you don't really have a lot of options.
I can still see that they made different choices when it comes to some things (like the diamond tips on the columns where the labyrinth is), but for sure, they made stuff from scratch and I didn't take part in it at all.
Interesting project though.
I could give another world a try and see if they reproduce that one too, then we'd know for sure that they took ispiration from my works : D

oh that would be too much work, and would be worth doing if you really want to know if they were inspired by your works or not and if you are kind of irked by the fact they they were inspired perhaps too much. Though I say making a whole new one just to do that sounds a bit stressful. Plus you're right, there are more differences between the two than I initially took notice of! Well, i hope it's alright that i brought it to your attention nonetheless. For one it's just nice to know that more people do these things :D
I did wonder there for a bit if that was perhaps some unrefined YT account of yours, but you confirmed it's not :p
Yeah the project is amazing! They didn't say they would make more, which is fine, but if they would ever have the opportunity and desire to make something more like that then seeing them someday make some other levels would be a feast for the eyes. Same if you did any more in the future, everyone would also have a pretty large feast :P but I'm not implying anything! Just saying that your render is great
