quick brief thing about boulder opal

she is an era 1 gem who had served in the war alongside Malachite. they're actually very familiar with eachother.

unlike Mal, she saw the war through, and abandoned homeworld only during the retreat after the war had ended. she took up residence in a dark planet. said planet is riddled with caves and tunnels, all leading down to hot caverns filled with falls of magma and pools of the stuff below. she has her own personal hideout in a cavern a bit away from these, one midway between the surface and the core, where it is warm but still dark, and free of any harmful magma. she is an expert at traversing said caverns and tunnels though.

she does travel from planet to planet, by way of warp-pad or an alternative way if she can manage, working as a merchant, thief, con artist, and information dealer (to the right person~) and has a history of working with any and all species willing to work with her. she has information and relics of many different cultures

she is a bit of a loose canon in battle. Boulder opal actually enjoys battle, and will not hesitate to fight back, attacking with a ferocity to be reckoned with. in battle, she has little to no mercy and can rarely be convinced to stop unless the opposition pleads retreat.

Boulder opal has minimal control over fire, only able to control the flames of her lanterns. she can make the flames within the lanterns grow somewhat, or diminish, and can direct them in any direction (but not far from the lanterns). in turn though, no one else can control the flames of her lanterns, no matter their mastery or control over fire.
