"Ribs"
First thing I think when I see this is the really dark, cavernous insides of something, especially the ribs. Reminds me of Tool, which I like.
If you look again, it could be some sort of flora, a kind of thin fern.
(And yes, he's a German Shepherd)

Isn't abstract fun I love to just play around with PS and come up with this crazy stuff.
