The wolves of the Domain, Ilse had long decided, were good.
Domainians, despite the separation of packs, the differences between them, and sheer distances of the lands on which they lived, were hardworking and kind persons. She had seen the kindness of Mhor, and felt a desire to extend their warmth to others. Seeing the extent of this warmth, though-- of Riverfell, and of Xassa-- Ilse knew something more. She was proud to live among them.
If these were the wolves of the Domain, she was optimistic. They'd be just fine. 12 hours, 5 minutes later -- it's DONE. D O N E. This was a beast to do, largely because there are so many wolves, a scrawling landscape, not a lot of idea of what the background should look like, and then I had to color and shade everyone. As much as I love collabs, too, it was nice working on a solo piece.
I think, though, I got the effect I wanted-- a misty day in a secluded section of the forest! I couldn't figure out how to justify Ilse and Nouri just chilling and not helping so I just figure that they're taking their turn holding down the fort while the other wolves, guided by Deborah, gathered herbs for their packs.
