Description This lamb nearly scared the hell out of me.
As i was walking along i saw something move in the corner of my eye and when i glanced up it was looking right down on top of me, so i just "shot it" with the camera of course

Hope you enjoy his one, full view is best

Lovely capture - good thing he isn't a meat eater and figured you'd make a good meal.

The best sheep photo I have seen in ages, just the title is misleading, it is a queen not a king I believe...

A Queen!!!!!!!
No way, have i missed something ?

p/s - before you answer Suz, i better confess i would hate to be wrong in this case coz i'm a sheep farmer with about 2000 of the wooly rats

I am not 100% sure, but unless it is a very young king it has a really girly face for a ram.

Girly face

I think we had better stop this conversation Suz coz i can guess where it's heading

Great timing and capture Gordon. Could have been a mountain lion or bear! On vacation in British Columbia there were warnings on the trails to be aware for the prescence of mountain lions (cougars), bears, and wolves. I would have loved to see a wolf but the other two would have scared the the _ _ _ _ out of me!

gordonrae In reply to EvaMcDermott [2008-08-11 21:33:19 +0000 UTC]

Ooooh, i would love trying to photograph some of theses animals, a longer lens might be a good idea tho

EvaMcDermott In reply to gordonrae [2008-08-13 23:45:07 +0000 UTC]

I hope you do! What is you longest lens? Mine is a 70mm - 200mm Zoom + a 2X extender X 1.6. Nice work in any case!

My longest lens at the moment is a 70/300mm zoom with a macro switch on it, struggle to hold it steady tho
