Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes writers seem all too keen to make love interests out of characters who probably wouldn't work as love interests and we're all like 'really?'

I like the idea of this character as a surprise unlikely ally.

I think they would be very suspicious of each other and fight a lot,as friends they would kind of be like fellow soldiers and not romantic at all. They will probably meet other people.

I don't know about zombies,everyone does them,they're getting a bit tired. But there could be people with cybernetic parts added who have had their brains messed about with. Perhaps people who try to escape are made into mindless killing machine people.
