Itβs amazing what articles you can see on FB and actually be stupid enough to believe. This is their work, their body paint. If you actually knew what lightning did to the body youβd know that this is just body paint.

It comes up in the google search because people have used it to demonstrate what a lightning strike on a human would look like, despite the fact that when compared to other, real lightning scars this makeup looks nothing like it. There's too much bruising and discoloration in the makeup for it to be 1) real and 2) caused by lightning alone. It's a beautiful and very convincing makeup, which is probably why it confused people.Β
You can also look at the picture they posted showing the front of the zombie character, proving it's makeup.Β

You got it backwards.Β This image was appropriated and circulated around the internet as burns from a lightning strike.Β It's exactly what the user says, zombie body paint.
Lightning strike survivors never have markings like this.
