Description I went for a last minute shoot yesturday. It was a pretty average sunset by QLD standards lately but I really enjoyed myself. It was mega windy so the clouds are really blury and the branch moved a bit. I know the great swath of yellow/white across the middle is severely clipped but I kinda like it...and it was impossible to avoid. This is basically converted straight from RAW, cropped, sharpened.

I love this one. It think it has something to do with my love of dead trees. >< Actually everything in it just works wonderfully and the blown out bit doesn't really detract from it.

Dead trees look cool but I can't find one in a convenient location to shoot around here! Thanks for puting my mind at ease about the clipped sky.

I'm not sure I've mentioned it before but I love NIN. My favorite album is 'The Fragile'. I was obsessed with it around 2000/01 or so but it still gets a spin regularly.

The Fragile is my favourite as well and the first cd of his that I bought. It was in 2001 that I became obsessed. I find I play all of his albums, but it's The Fragile that I keep going back to and the one that gets played continually in the car and I never get sick of. My kids and I are heading to Brissy in Feb for Soundwave and you know where I'm going to be. I saw them live for the first time in 2005 with my daughter. I didn't want to get to close to the mosh pit, but was a little too far back for my poor old aging eyes. Determined to get closer this year.
