Description I drew this by refferencing a frame in Akira Himekawa's Legend of Zelda Manga. Mikau's eyes were so pretty, I really wanted to color it!

I did this a few years ago, so it's not very good, and was more for practice than anything... Still, I thought I'd share it anyway!

Alternate deviation: [link]

Mikau is from Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask which is (c) Nintendo

It just so happens I'm reading that part now and see this panel. All the while I have the Song of Healing playing too. I gotta tell you it's a incredible feeling that you can get from hearing the song and looking at these artworks.

You did a great job with e coloring and the music really helps bring this to life.

Aww! Thank you so much!
I totally understand! I cried so many times reading it, especially when Mikau died, during the whole Darmani story, and during the story of Skull Kid's past! And adding the music definitely multiplies the effect! It was a great game and an equally great manga. This was one of my first drawings with Photoshop, but still remains one of my best! I'm glad you liked it, and thanks again!

Yep Mikau's story was the one that really hit me the most.

The overall plot of Majora's Mask wasn't what allured people into it, it was the smaller more personal stories of other characters that made the game so loveable and memorable.
Kafei and Anju was another great one too.

Wahh! Of course Kafei and Anjuu! They were so cute! I wish they had more time in the manga! (Well, Anju did, but I meant with more of the story from the game, like all the stuff Link did in the game to bring them together!)

Yeah, it was the attatchment to the little characters that made the story great!

After I had read the manga I thought to myself that certain aspects of the manga should've happened in the game.

Like how Kafei came with Link to confront the Skull Kid and how Tatl telling Anju the truth and leading her to the Clock Tower and the two remain together to face the final day.

Plus the detail scenes of Mikau fighting the Gerudo pirates.

Probably couldn't do all this due to the limitations of the N64 but they can do it now with the Wii. I buy Majora's Mask again just to see added scenes and scenarios that help flesh out the character stories.

Plus the bonus original side story explaining the origin of Majora's Mask.

I loved that origin story! The monster was so awesome! Well, for a monster anyway... And the traveler was so... *drool*

They should definetly remake the old games for the Wii, with better graphics and added scenes. They remade it on GCN without changing it, so I think with a little effort, they could enhance the graphics a bit and add to the story... after all, they made Twilight Princess!

Majora was definitely a sight to behold, he had a ancient royal look too him that was so cool.

The traveler's feather shaped weapon was a cool concept too. He had a powerful, gentle and comical presence about him that you could like very easily.

You know I personally name the traveler Lin since it means "Woods" or "Forest" in chinese and it fits him.

Oh yeah using the engine they used to make Twilight Princess to make Majora's Mask would have everyone's heart racing faster than Epona can run lol

Plus "Lin" is just one letter away from "Link" , and honestly, looking at him, he resembles adult Link very much doesn't he?

Yep he does he looks about 25 years old.

Plus naming him Lin makes it even more perfect since Link grew up in the Lost Woods.

Yes, he did indeed. Or at least the traditional Link... Toon Link grew up on Outset island and Twilight Princess Link grew up in Odin, but as far as I'm concerned, whenever anyone asks me where Link was raised, my answer will always be "the Lost Woods/Kokiri Forest"

Seriously, those redeads are serial rapists... and they always attack from behind...

Even in an 18 year old's body, a rape is a traumatic experiance for Link (after all, he's still technically 11), I'm surprised he actually went through with the whole hero job. After the 1st rape, I would have thrown that sword back! "Screw Princess Zelda! I'm not going out there with those creepy pedophiles around!"

Goron-King-Darunia In reply to Zeraphalanx [2010-08-25 20:15:46 +0000 UTC]

Indeed! It hurts more when they go slow! But I guess Twilight fans might enjoy it, after all they are all waiting to be raped by a cold, undead pedophile anyway>>> , a redead is practically the same thing!

Indeed... I shall never understand the appeal of a cold, blood-sucking, sullen, 100+ year old, could-potentially-kill-me, doesn't age, doesn't die, leaves me and commits pseudocide, spiteful, sparkly faggot for a boyfriend... It's illogical and makes vampires look gay and wimpy. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind Vampires having feelings or sharing them or being in love with humans. That's perfectly reasonable, after all, they were human once. But painting them as monsters with feelings is just as bad as saying that killing is OK. I mean honestly, Vampires should be people first, being a vampire is an affliction they have as a person. People should forget the whole vampire part and look at Edward and Bella's relationship and see it for what it is. Their whole relationship is based off of lust and sex, no love, no feelings. Their whole relationship consists of almost dying, making bad choices, and never seriously talking to each other about things other than sex and trying not to die... Though it's not much better when everything's all mushy and all lovey-dovey, "let's talk about feelings and we'll just forget that we have hormones and never ever have sex." kind of thing. I believe in a ballanced mix of both. But anyway, that's just my opinion...

Personally I prefer the vampires from Underworld over Twilight.

What Selene and Micheal was far more and something that developed over time versus whatever that was going on with those two.
