St. Alia Atreides at age 17. I imagine somewhere between Children and Messiah when she is beginning to adopt her role as a religious figure among the Fremen.I wanted it to be a sort of classic portraiture of her, which I rendered first, and then I later thought it would be cool to frame her with a window shaped like a rising sandworm.
If you're wondering why she is so colorful, it is because my readings of Herbert's Dune has always used color very symbolically and very vividly to describe clothes.

Hmmm unfortunately I didn't keep that vid around, it's pretty old and I've done other process-paint videos since then. I can't even remember what I said! I probably wouldn't upload it again since my methods and thought process have changed so much.

Wow, very cool portrait of Alia. She isnt bug-house nutz yet, but kinda gives off a menicing vibe. I paticulary dig the detailed attention to style. The use of Egyptian and middle-eastern elements really works well & of course is in keeping with the books.
