So guess who got introduced to Kingdom Hearts in the past month or so?

Me of course, that's who.

So, I haven't been able to play the original (sadly!), because we don't have a copy of it. We do have one of Kingdom Hearts 2, though, and after playing it for barely two days I sprinted to a Target and got 358/2 Days.

Isn't it funny how my favorite characters tend to be the most controversial though? First Danielle in Danny Phantom...

And now Xion.

I can't explain fully my reasons for liking her... Perhaps the complexities of her character - not at all like the Mary Sue many make her out to be - maybe just the fact that of all the playable female characters so far (excluding Aqua, since BBS wasn't out in the US yet when I drew this and I haven't been able to play it yet anyway - no PSP), she's the one who actually does the most (excluding plot device). I dunno. I like her. She's my favorite character. That's enough for me.

As for the picture itself, it's... been a while since I drew in this style - the semi-realistic style I drew all of my TR fanart and early ST art in. It didn't turn out too badly. Shading turned out excellently, particularly the Keyblade, though I will admit to referring to the 358/2 Days cover art for that one. A LOT. Overall... this was pretty good, I think.

PLEASE note that at this time, do NOT post any 358/2 spoilers. At least not for any of the ending cutscenes. I'm fighting back the urge even now to go confront Axel and play the last four days, because I've been told by so many sources it's beginning to get frustrating, that I need to hold off until I finish KH2. I'm getting close, but at the same time, I'm still getting really impatient. I want to immerse myself in the KH fandom, but I can't DO that if I'm terrified of tripping over spoilers everywhere.

Also, I know probably a lot of people aren't going to see this anyway - not the fandom I usually draw for - but I'm not going to tolerate any badmouthing the art solely on the basis of not liking the character. You can express that you don't like it, but if you start getting rude the comments will not be staying there for long.
