This is really awesome! You've captured his refined villainy perfectly, and you can't not love that smile!
I feel "Hook" is an under-appreciated film, and Hoffman's portrayal of the old Captain is definitely under-appreciated! His version is literally the one I judge all other takes on him off, and most don't even come close!
But yeah, I'm rambling! Fantastic job!

I agree with all that you said.Β I remember when the previews came out for it.Β I was blown away.Β I thought just about everything was perfect in the film.Β A classic in my eyes.

Totally. It's such a gorgeous looking film, too. I notice new little details every time I watch it, like the ships railings supports being busts of Hook, which is really neat. The film's really quite fantastic, really.

I will have to rewatch Hook.Β Been a while.Β I do not recallΒ those railing supports at all.Β One of the things I do love best is Alligator finally gets the rest of Hook.Β Such a great film overall.

And you should. There's just so many little details you pick up on when you watch films like that when you're older... And that bit's fantastic! Hook's little glance when it comes back to life is just perfect! I always loved that it was freakishly huge, too!

btw, have you read the comic by Loisel? I liked the movie, but the comic is my personal favorite adaptation of Peter Pan
