Thank you. Β It was my second painting ever and I struggled but liked the end result.

A character I have been enticed by since grade school. Β I saw my first image of Lon Chaney in the vampire make up and was hooked.

So creepy and chilling but utterly amazing!Β
I think I heard about London After Midnight before, was it that movie that was lost in a fire?Β

Last remaining copy was said to be lost in Β MGM vault fire. Β Tragic.
And thanks so much for the compliment.

Man, such a shame it was lost like that...Β Β
Maybe someday one copy could still resurface somewhere.
You're welcome my friend! Β Β

YAY FOR MORE LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT!!!
Lon was so cool. Like when you watch his movies, you forget it's him. For the time you watch him in his roles, he's that character. Even without makeup. Like I watched Unholy Three and honestly forgot Lon was playing Professor Echo because I was so wrapped up in the story and the characters. Man he was good.

You have great taste in classics GlitterClamOpera!!!Β Dude was amazing especially for his time.Β I enjoyed Lon Jr.Β as well but unfortunately and sadly his fathers reputation was to much to live up to.Β Long live the Lonsters!

I like his pose and facial expression, so wicked! It might be an older painting but it's still well done. It's also cool to see how you draw inspiration from silent films, they are very underappreciated nowadays.

You're most welcome and thanks for your kind words, I'm doing my best. University isn't that stressful as I initially thought because I didn't get a place in some of the courses I applied for (they are given randomly via computer system).
Looking at your portrait while writing this, I need to add that the atmosphere is just brilliant. So haunting and dark!

LOLΒ also another attempt at monochrome.Β One day I may achieve the look I am after.Β I think this may have been the closest I have come.
