I really appreciate the compliment but I am never ever 100% perfect with my stuff but I get passable results. A strong likeness is the main focus though!

for sure! it's pretty frustrating for me when I have the image in my head and when I draw it, it ends up barely looking like what I had in mind. XD But I guess it's fine as long as it doesn't look bad

OH YEAH! I read an article that one artist said that if he achieved even thirty per cent of his original idea he did well. I am lucky if I get 10%. I guess this is why we are supposed to start with thumbnails and progress to loose layouts.

And certainly! I've been trying to practice drawing and using the least amount of references possible, but it's sosososoo much harder than I imagined, I'll just be looking at my stick figured styled dog like "...that is what a dog looks like in real life, right?" XD

LOL! I am right with you as you can tell by the billions of bad sketchs I post. But little by little we will hopefully end up where we want to be. I got a cartoon style in my head and i have time on my hands to doodle so why not!

Thank you. I sold this at Comic Con in Calgary. The nice young woman who bought it had Nimoy sign it. Leonard apparently loved it. The girl brought it back to show me the autograph!!
