In my mind, Konan is the anime version of Disney's Mulan. (Yes, Mulan is my favorite of the Disney women, and Konan is becoming my favorite "Naruto" girl, but that actually doesn't have much to do with it. No, of course not...) >.> <.<Think about it this way: Konan is the only woman in the Akatsuki, and we didn't know she was a woman until a little while ago. Yet she's a strong a fighter as any of the guys.
So here I've got Pein as Li Shang, Nagato as Shan-Yu, Kakuzu as Chen-Po, Kisame as Yao, Deidara as Ling, Jiraiya as Fa Zhou, Tsunade as his wife, and Orochimaru as the grandparent. (Sorry, Orochi-chan, I needed someone else who was connected to Konan to be the grandma!!)
One of Konan's butterflies would play Cri-Kee, and Tobi would be Mushu (stroke of genius right there). BTW, Sasuke is that annoying guy that follows the troops into war who could only be loved by his mother. Also a bit of a present for since February 1st is her birthday.
I plan on drawing the other "Naruto" girls as some of the other Disney princesses, too. I'm working on Temari next.

I watched Mulan at a sleepover once. On this really dramatic scene with the badguys in the snow, I ruined the moment but saying "Fatty!" to the main badguy.

I think that the flower definitely makes it harder to imagine Konan as a guy, but that's why I didn't draw it in her "male" version.
