Description
“You sense there’s a purpose of a higher life,
A force in your heart as if you were revived,
Brand new grounds to explore before the night arrives.
With unlimited options it has just begun.
I’ve done things that you won’t, I wish I’d never done
As I look through the eyes of what is my design.
You’ve taken the ascendancy.
Shaking me, saving me in the darkest hour,
Fear was a part of me growing stronger.
Breaking into my soul, let me see eternity.
A life is a dream one-way directional.
It starts with a cell to something magical.
You’ve been handed the world, a new identity.
Compelling me, you’re my relief.
Shaking me, saving me in the darkest hour,
Fear was a part of me growing stronger.
Breaking into my soul, let me see eternity.
Turning me, burning me in the darkest hour,
Fear was part of me growing stronger,
Breaking into my soul, bringing me serenity.
You’ve taken the ascendancy.
Shaking me, saving me in the darkest hour,
Fear was a part of me growing stronger.
Breaking into my soul, let me see eternity.
Turning me, burning me in the darkest hour,
Fear was part of me growing stronger,
Breaking into my soul, bringing me serenity
The day I exhale.”
[ Exhale – Amaranthe ]
This photo, huh. It’s complicated. Kind of. I’m not entirely sure of when and how it’s come about.
I absolutely love this song and have been toying with ideas about it for a good five-ish years, though I can’t recall when I came up with this specific concept. At some point, while listening, I got the image of someone lying down and exhaling with some astronomical things overimposed on the photo. I think I considered using constellation bountaries radiating from the eye or something, though I’m not sure if in relation to this specific concept or something else. I never quite did anything with it, however, and even kind of forgot about it for a while. Also, last year I separately came across this old Solar System model (thank you, Tumblr!) which I put aside for future use.
Then two days ago, after I shot Patience and while I was thinking of what other photos I could do to show off my freshly-styled hair, I decided to brush up that vague Exhale concept and use my recent finding to finally make something out of it. The dotted shirt I was wearing also incidentally fit the astronomical theme, so why not? And here we are, I love how this photo turne out!
Unfortunately I couldn’t track down what book this Solar System model is from, but considering it still listed Uranus and Neptune as, respectively, Herschel and Leverrier, I’m pretty confident it’s older than the 1850s and, therefore, have long since entered the public domain.
