Description An interesting thing about the cemeteries in Trieste is a rather widespread presence of serpentine motives, which I haven’t seen anywhere else. One of those is this serpent biting its own tail, which looks like a nod to the Ouroboros .
Unfortunately, the tomb, which is magnificent in its entirety, is so dirty and covered in thick dust it doesn’t look very good in photo. :/

What an interesting sculpture. I wasn't quite sure what it was at first but now that I take a closer look, I can see. It is a pity that they are covered in dust.

Thank you! Yeah, it's very unfortunate that the tomb is so dirty. Actually, it's a row of monumental tombs all very dirty, which is a pity because they're all beautiful!
