Been a while.I am sweating bricks over my excitement for the Watchmen movie. I loved the graphic novel, I mean heck, of course I did, this is the only non-Bully fan-art I've been able to draw and enjoy drawing in *months.*
I like Rorschach without his mask. I love his mask too, but I really like his face. I don't think Laurie appreciates me putting her next to old Rory. :B
I use very heavy lines, and I'm very, very sketchy, yes. It's just...how I roll.
I drew this listening to Mother Mother on repeat, mostly the song "Hayloft". Maybe that's why it's so dramatic and rushy.

The one thing I anticipate/fear most is parents bringing their toddler-somethings in to see it because it's a ~*SUPERHERO*~ movie.

OH damn, and I'm sure that'll happen too. THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A MOVIE FOR THE KIDLETS. D8> Lots of nudity and sex and violence and traumatic childhoods. D:> Poor babies with dumb parents.
However, the commercial sure doesn't seem like they're billing it as the classic superhero movie. It looks more like a high-budget indie film or something in that vein.

Thankfully, the Alamo is usually good at putting up "NO. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS MOVIE. NO." signs. (And they don't let kids under 6 in at all, except for the occasional Disney/holiday movie.)
Yeah . . . more like a Big Serious Deal movie than a Hey Guys, Watch These Costumed Characters Beat Up Aliens film. :]
It's such fun sketchiness. It's like, you're thinking, "Golly, there sure are a lot of little lines here. There's no way another one could work its way in!"
And then another one works its way in and you get so excited.
