If you have one as a pet (like if you get one from a breeder) you can have the glands surgically removed. It doesn't cause any problems to the skunks that I've heard of, it just leaves a faint lingering stench of the odors.

Nuh uh. Skunks can sometimes be very wild, not domesticated

Look it up, you can have skunks for pets.
