Ahm......it´s difficult to describe a Kirins origin, for even I don´t know exactly, what it is...
...it´s quite a bit an equivalent to the western "unicorn", but not always pictured with horn...but with scales, legs of a goat, and so on...
I got this idea when I saw the fabolous "Kirin Beer" for the first time of my life - real hot Asian Beer rulez

Ah the Kirin! Nice rendering. I love the detail in the scales.
I remember a Unicorn coloring book I had as a kid had this in it.
I always thought he looked more mystical than the traditional unicorn.
The characters on the sidebars, is it "...的..." I don't recognize them. The first looks almost like "我," but I don't guess it is?

Actually, they don´t mean anything *coughs*. I was not too familiar with the Chinese characters, so I just chose some coming out of my fantasy. Similarities with existing Chinese characters are totally randomly ^^'
