A pony is anything under fourteen hands. Which is actually pretty tall. So you can assume that Celestia is ~14 hands, and that makes the "normal" ponies about the size of the Shetlands that most people think of when they think of "ponies".

They're ponies as well. The term 'pony' has nothing to do with age. If you need a different term for them, 'colts' and 'fillies' would be the terms you're looking for. If they're particularly young, then 'foals' would also be acceptable.

Two times the height of a normal pony doesn't say much if we don't know how tall a normal pony is. And the series is called My Little Pony, so it's perfectly reasonable that Celestia could be a normal sized pony, and she just looks big by comparison.
Celestia looking like an 'adult horse' is irrelevant as well, since adult ponies look just like any other adult horse anyway.
And, a horse's age has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with whether it's a pony or not. Whether she's 1 or 1000, it's completely irrelevant.

Sorry, it just bugs me when people do the "Young horse" = "Pony" thing. And since I was already in "misinformation correcting" mode, I went and pointed out what was incorrect with the other things too.

Anyways i've i searched some info about Pony and they say that you can call "Pony" a horse tall less than 152 cm / 4.99 ft (from the FΓ©dΓ©ration Γquestre Internationale).
So i guess how tall Celestia is

Haha, no :-p The narrator in ep01 clearly says: Royal Pony Sisters. Also, Hasbro's toy line call them princess ponies as well.
