I'm so happy that Copics lend themselves to feathers, really makes the effect work.... also... I hate feathers...
Original 6" x 9", Bristol smooth; Copic cool and warm gray markers with gray Copic multiliner. 30 minutes on the initial sketch and another 30 to render.

I had a nice layout for it that comprised most of the finished sketch, but in looking at some wings in action i realized I had a lot of false ideas about what wings do and look like in action... made some necessary changes... it still has some artistic license, but I like how it turned out.

Hey it's a Hippo....thingy, artistic license is actively encouraged! Wings can be a real pain to draw anyway and these have come out great.
