The entire picture is full of extreme amounts of emotion. Seriously, it's licking through the colors like real flames. Really fantastic work. I cannot even begin to express how gorgeous this is. Words fail me...

-shrug- Well, I draw what I want to draw. I have been trying to avoid this colorscheme for a while, but when I got the inspiration for the piece it was pretty much dictated that this will be it.
Fact is, Red/orange/yellow are complements to blue. Since this was a fire- a very red bloody fire, it was inevitable that I would use Reds and Yellows.
And color theory states that, to make the reds and yellows pop out even more and create more contrast, I had to use blue.
For the other pictures with this colorcheme, I guess there was no real reason to it... I just wanted to use it because I liked it, but with this one it was the only colorscheme that could produce the effect I wanted.
