Pursuing a different original medium is not lazy, its bold and new! Show me sometime! Wow a year of from video games! that's intense, what was it like? take up any cool hobbies? One of my real life friends did something like that, he sold all his consoles because he thought it was destroying his life. I dunno though I feel like that's just a hyped up media driven opinion, I think good video games get you thinking and that's what good art should do, and frankly talking about video games is great fun.Β
If you are looking for a new game, dark souls!!! You can get it on pc, Β Its like the heavy metal zelda with less puzzles and more fighting, very cool dungeons and mythology. Well, my first attempt at new medium is up.Β It's ehhh.Β i like the watercolor pencils though so I plan on continuing to build skill.Β I think I can really get the hang of this and be good with it somewhere in the future.Β
As far as a year without video games it has been SHITTY AND STUPID.Β I have had no creative drive (as witnessed by the cobwebs on my dA) and I instead just sit around surfing reddit and being disgruntled.Β I don't read more, I don't do anything else interesting.Β That may also be because now I live in a house with kids so it's like...well...kids are energy and life suckers and they ruin my ability to do anything fun.Β However, I won't replicate going a year without video games in the future just to see.Β It's not worth it.Β People talk about how things are easier and calmer without technology---not for me.Β I totally agree with you that it's a hyped up media bullshit thing.Β There was a guy who did a no tech experiemnt for a year too, got rid of his cell, his computer, etc and his conclusion was the same.Β Life was just boring.Β It's better to do shit that interests you and have the convenience of talking to people and conversing and shit online.Β Especially if like me you're an introvert and hate everyone irl.Β I have social anxiety and don't like making friends so online is my only option.Β People seem to like me just fine, I just don't like them and they sap my creativity.Β But online friends boost my creativity and we seem to feed off each other so it's a MUCh better option.

Okay so my requuuuuuuest uhhhhhhhh okay so maybe you saw on my profile page........I'm writing a sequel to the big story, that features the courier's son and some random rag tag vegas peeps (and a grown up pete boomer kid) having desert adventures.Β I'm a whopping huge three chapters in (see? no video games=bullshit writing drive) but if you wanted to draw any of those people I would foam at the mouth and writhe around in unbridled glee.Β Maybe Pete and Keira (she's a freesider! bonus) because I like them best...but WHOEVER you want c:Β or you could always give me a blond vulpes, I am so fucking gay for blond vulpes and I just don't know what to do about it.Β yeah so there's my requests.Β

Dude your water colors are awesome! I wish I could do stuff like that, but I stick to my digital stuff because it is cheap ($75 tablet 4 years ago + $65 program for infinite arts) although I think staring at a computer screen all the time is making me go blind. meh whatever. I cannot even handle trying to paint, like to not use lines O__o mind blown cannot do it my hand does no know how i have to pretty much sketch out exactly what I am doing before I can attempt colors. I really admire the emotion you can get your characters to display, your works all have this really cool atmosphere.Β
Introverts for the win. talking to ppl in real life is hard and stressful internet friends though are just cooler, I feel like when you just chat online you get to remove all of the social norm bs and just like pick someones brain and you can find people radically different than wherever it is you happen to be. Which is awesome when living in the bible belt with a butch of witch hunting mother fuckers.Β

I always felt that Obsidian should've made the choices more "gray". Granted, FNV is already more gray than F3 (in FNV there's no real good guy: going Wild Card, House, or NCR always has its drawbacks with every community; in F3, the BoS are clear-cut good - if you don't side with them you must be EVVILLLL). I would've liked to see the Legion portrayed more like F2 or F1 villains like the Enclave (yes, they're evil, but you can't help but feel that they're simply humans on the wrong side of the fence).
Had the Legion shown its more soft side (maybe include a Legion-controlled town other than the military camps so we can see what civilian life is like) and had the characters (besides Vulpes) been a little more fleshed out and human, I might've sided with them. Other than that, the Legion is just your standard railroad-bad-guy affair. Nothing new, and nothing worth fighting for.

pfft, you ever need a ref for anything from NV then hit me up and I'll get it for you :] I already have ref sheets made from the in-game models for a whole bunch of characters and annoying props, it takes me about 20 seconds to do.
