Description R.P. stands for REALITY POKEDEX:[link]

Since I'd already done three fairly realistic entries in the Reality Pokedex, I wanted to try my hand at an abnormality- Ghost types! Because they're ghosts they can exist without being based on any actual animal, which gave me freedom in coming up with their design. I decided to stay fairly true to their original form but of course give them a more gruesome appearance.

Pokedex: Pokemon in question: Gastly (And evolutions) - #92, Haunter - #93, Gengar - #94
After the discovery of the first 91 Pokemon scientists stumbled upon a very unusual gaseous area that was emitting high frequency energy readings. The source of the frequency was an otherworldly being which used its body to encompass the gasses in the area and give itself form visible to humans. It appeared to be a ball surrounded by flames, with two large burning eyes, gruesome gas fangs, and a poisonous tongue. At first the Scientists were reluctant to believe in supernatural beings until the gas creatures began to haunt their lab. Finally, they had to acknowledge their presence, and so the ghost was dubbed Gastly. It is not certain whether the Ghosts are the afterlives of Pokemon manifesting themselves to continue their training with their trainers, or if they are born ghosts. One thing is for sure, they are catchable with a pokeball. As Gastly's became smarter, they searched for ways to further scare people and haunt areas to preserve trainquility. To do this, they altered their forms to become more grotesque, and formed disembodied hands out of more gas to frighten intruders. At this point the ghost is known as a Haunter, named so because they use their gaseous appearances to haunt their homes. Haunters are known to disturb people who rear too close to their territory. They will use methods such as scaring, scratching, speaking through EPM frequencies, knocking things over, throwing things through the air, and if the situation gets bad, even poisoning. It is believed that Haunters eventually find it funny to scare people off. The common theory is that they will listen closely to legends regarding their home, and will embody the spirit of the ghost stories they hear. When their reasons for scaring people has surpassed territorial purposes, Haunters will often become nomadic and travel from place to place just to scare people. It wasn't long before Haunters found new ways to scare people, including taking the human form to act as a shadow, and scare people. With new found arms and legs, these Haunters are now Gengars. The compressed poisonous gas that makes up their body is cold, and those who step through them without noticing will feel the temperature drop. At this point, what was once a gaseoous blob has now perfected the art of shape shifting, and Gengars are able to take the form of shadows and follow people, waiting for the perfect time to pop out and scare them. Despite these theories, Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar trainers disclaim these beliefs defending their friend. Those who know them well believe these mysterious Pokemon are simply playful.
