Description Sima Yi from Dynasty Warriors series. The brilliant strategist with evil laugh, that likes to remind others that they are imbeciles. He can tickle others to death with his feather fan. The laser beam spammer. The patriarch of his own 'kingdom'. Henpecked husband. 



I intended to post this drawing on Chinese New Year but I didn't manage to finish this. I had to do this and that.   And lack of free time.

Very impressive use of gold and black ink! It really gives you a sense of this person's character, as well as being a great design and and rendering! Your handling of the folds and layers of his clothing is just great as well!

Wow! I really love the  the intricate detail in this! It's so beautifully done!  If I had to change anything, my only grip is I feel his neck should be a bit longer or less thick.

When I saw it in gallery I already knew that it's from a koei's game, very recognizable 
I like this combination of black, white and gold

Played Warriors of Orochi long ago, which is a crossover of DW and Samurai Warriors, still one of my favourite hack and slash games

Thank you! I played Warriors Orochi (the first series). It was a great game. I am not really a fan of hack and slash games but I still play DW9.

I'm not a fan of hack and slash too, but I liked WO a lot. I also wanted to try out DW9, but there are so many negative reviews. Does it deserve them?

The game received many negative reviews. I think it deserves them. I quickly get bored 20 minutes after a campaign begins. The AI enemies and allies are dumb. You can reach 1000 K.O. easily. I remember an officer said I was the 'True Warrior of the Three Kingdoms' during Yellow Turban Rebellion. The land wasn't divided into three yet. AI allies aren't really helpful. Sometimes they don't do anything, just standing, while you are fighting an enemy officer right in front of them. Each campaign feels like forever. You can do some side quests, hunt animals, buy houses and furniture, make friends with other officers (write letters to them, they visit your house). The map is huge. I like exploring places but the map is...eh. Each character can wield any weapon you like that suits your play style. So far I have completed Wei and Jin stories. There are so many cutscene videos to unlock but playing ALL characters will take long. I doubt I have time for that. >_< I am mostly interested in stories, not its gameplay. This is from my personal experience. You might enjoy the game despite the flaws.

You're right not liking DW9's English dub tbh. Way worse than DW3 which is at least very amusing. Only very few of them sound good and then they're the ones given credit rather than the obviously better VAs from DW4-DW8? So disappointed in KOEI.

Anyway, all dat gold fits him. It makes him so fabulous, hidden long hair in a bun aside (probably) 😂

Yeah, the English dub is bad in DW9. Probably the worst in the series. 

I like his hat which makes him appear as a minister that holds power in the palace/castle. Also, it makes him stand out among minister or advisor type of characters. I still like his long, silky hair in DW6.

That's the harsh reality of losing the voice actors that were around for a very long time. Especially Lu bu's. Although it's not the voices that are bad. It's how it's so slow compared to Japanese and Chinese. Especially in Lu Lingqi's ending. I wonder if they could have edited the mouths to have them synch with the characters instead.
