Allen's life gets even worse in the manga when you read it; the shadowy figure he sees in mirrors is Nea Walker (Mana's brother; ergo Nea's his adoptive uncle)--who will eventually take over Allen, Allen's been jailed, let out by Road and Tyki, chased by a sentient Innocence, and is now on the run.
