Description Named Lac de Gaube, this is a valley-lake created by a receding Glacier, somewhere deep in the Cauterets section of the Pyrenees Mountain Range. This place is accessible only through a series of cable cars or a long walking trail. Lac de Gaube is fairly popular, I believe, for those who frequent the south-western area of France. (It's very near Lourdes, for one thing.)
