Description
How do we get from visual idea A (flower on the left) to B (bauble on the right) to C (caricatures in the middle)?
The sketchbook doodle became a topic of conversation with the neural-physiologist I've been working with to explain how artists think in images. This made me realize that while I can draw a clear map for you of how to get from my office to the grocery store I frequent, I have no idea what the mental path is from one idea to another. Which became a request for me to try to capture my thinking as I drifted from one idea to another.
