I've been playing a lot of Warcraft III lately, and this is what happens. This is a footman, one of the most underrated units in the game. They own. This particular one is the last standing in this battle (probably against them dirty undead), so he's becoming a hero. Because the humans need better heroes.Anyway, I don't know whats going on in the background, could be light coming through the clouds, could be smoke or something, or it could even be the aftermath of some spell, I have no idea. Comments/suggestions welcome.

Love this work, if ya want to know what the background is, here's my view: The battle has ended and he stands among the dead, one of the few truly victorious. As he stands there a gryphon(sp? and I don't know if they had them in Wc3 like they did in Wc2) comes chashing into the ground unable to bear its wounds any longer. The great wings of the beast throws a shadow over the lone warrior and a storm of dust is kicked up around him. Being the bad-ass that he is he barely notices or cares. There, my view, may you like it and enjoy it. Keep making great work.

Actually man, I have posters drawn by Samwise all over my apartment. Me and my roommate are HUGE Samwise fans. The guy does great art. In fact myroom mate did a report on samwise for college not too long ago. I'm a big Warcraft player, how am I NOT supposed to know who Samwise is? lol, thanks for the comment man.

This guy seems to be too much of a bad ass mutha-fucka to be a foot soldier. But this is what I always thought the human Heros should look like in WC3. WTF is up with those Paladins and their hammers? Anyway, this is beautiful art, man. I especially love the intricate detail you put into the armor. You even drew in his chain mail. WOW. My only suggestion is that I wish you would have put more detail into the shield. With the angle and shading it looks like it's only a weak piece of cloth. It apears to have no depth or mass. But that's about all I can spot out of the ordinary.

Dude, Graham, this is the coolest thing I have ever seen you do... I think anyways....coolest thing in recent history at least. Altho, I am kinda biased due to my love for war3. Anyways, I dont even have to mention the fact that I am gonna favorite this picture, it is just tooooooo friggin cool.

Anyways, I agree. Footmen are underated. They are my absolute favorite unit in the game tho...that might change with the new expansion but I doubt it. They are totally versatile...cheap, fast and only ghouls swarm heros better. Add in the defend ability and they are uber. Granted, now that magic units dont have a piercing attack they are less effective, but they are still uber. And I bet that this dude was beating the crap outta the undead. I hope so anyways...undead are so dirty and evil...death to the undead! Long live Graham and his mighty uber art!
Oh on a side note, I got you a war3 sticker for your art folder if you want it. It is in german...it's really cool. I got one for myself too...just let me know if you want it! Lates bro! Back to my own crap-art...

wow--this one is really cool...he actually does look like a footman from wc3!!! i know that feeling--being the last one standing--my guys always die when i play that game--and i usually only have one footman left!!!
i like his outfit--kinda reminds me of the guards in wizard of oz, you know, the ones guarding the castle, with those wicked monkeys! those monkeys are cool...you should draw one for me!!! that'd be uber!!!
the backround looks like the aftermath of an explosion, that would warrant his shield being in place, and his head being protected--looking away from the debris.

Great work, Graham. I love all of the little details you put into this guy.. A lot of things I didnt notice as a matter of fact, but then again... I only played the game once or twice... When are you going to try your hand at ink? I think it would give you a new challenge, plus maybe we could see some color!!!!!
