Is Sanger ever going to fly?

I find it very disappointing that I haven't commented on this before now. An excellent piece of work a powerful, energetic and stylish presentation of beautiful spacecraft with a practical appearance and design.

It's really too bad this never got further than the drawing board. ESA knows how to dream big, at least...

It's german yay. :3 "Sanger" would be wrong so "SΓ€nger" means Singer. So if you only have an Englisch keyboard, you can write Γ€, ΓΆ and ΓΌ out, you just take a, o and u and then pot an e at it so like ae, oe and ue its the same.

Thanks I put the Umlaut on the image title title but forgot to do it here on the gallery.

Allright i just wondered because it was in the image. Funny thing that they just allready thought about Ramjet Engines in the 80s.

Great to see this TSTO spacecraft brought to life. I've only seen pictures of models of it, so this is a refreshing image of it.

From Peter F. Hamilton's books?

No, its a real life Space plane concept. But it could easily be from Peter F Hamiltons Nights Dawn books. Good call

Awesome! Β This would make a great ship for the exploration of space. Β

It would probably take forever to build, though.

Perhaps, but at least I would feel like we were going forward again with the space program. Β

Yes. Because it does feel like it's begun to go nowhere.

Personally, I think it's this president and the administration who want to take America down a peg, make it like everyone else: miserable, beaten, and controlled.

Obviously.

While I wish it weren't so, not many want to see that.

They don't care what the people think. We're all nothing more than drops of water in a giant ocean's the way they have and always will look at it.

BalloonPrincess In reply to TorotheKing [2016-06-19 15:45:45 +0000 UTC]

True enough. Β Personally, baring which way you think, I believe that the politicians are hoping that we get so disgusted with the system that we'll just kick back and let them pick who leads.

TorotheKing In reply to BalloonPrincess [2016-06-19 20:13:42 +0000 UTC]

Perhaps. Who knows what will happen? Maybe the system will get so terrible that it will just break. But the thing about something breaking is it might wind up being broken beyond repair.

Indeed. Β Though I would be happy if I was wrong. Β
