I duckies. We had a female mallard when I was a child. Dad had found a small hatchling by the side of the road so brought her home since he couldn't find the mama duck anywhere. She was raised with our cocker spaniels (and cats and rabbits and kids) which is what she thought she was. She was quite intelligent and a joy of a pet for the years we had her.

It must have been so cool to have a little duck, I had a pet possum when I was a kid..my dad found it in a trap , it was a little baby and he brought it home to me and I raised it , I had it for years.

Yes, it was. She was quite intelligent, too, except for thinking she was a black cocker spaniel. You should have seen the look of stray and neighbors' cats when she ran at them flapping her wings and quacking just like the "other dogs" did running them off her cat's territory. Sounds just as cool to have a possum as a pet!
