Nikon D40 w/18-55 standard objective. No filters, so it's just a basic camera really. Planning to buy something better when I can afford it

hmm I'm still thinking about getting a good SLR camera, but they're so goddamned expensive >.<
even the basic models are easily € 500 and more.. I use a compact camera right now, it does have some advantages; you can carry it in your pocket, easily.. but the pictures are.. sometimes good.. but you never get the same depth and 'fullness' as from a slr... *sigh*
I think I'd just have to look around for second hand cameras to start with.. to see if it actually suits me n stuff
I pretty much never edit my photo's.. I think it kinda takes out the uniqueness of the photo. on the other hand, sometimes a little change to the contrast or whatever makes SUCH a big difference that it's really worth it

O yeah, well, a protip is to put more money in a lense than camera

yeahh but lenses are REALLY ridiculously expensive!! xD
one of my teachers gave me an old analoguous (god I have no idea how to spell that) slr, I thought it was awesome, until I saw the photo's; only 7 were printed, the rest was just too crap to print
it's kinda hard to get the lighting right on those cameras... *sigh*
and the lenses don't fit on normal camera's 
oh, and I put a new photo up, with some minor edits
ok, some were quite major, but whatever xD
