Description I guess it was inevitable for such a big crow fan to draw the worlds'a henchiest-a henchman, Stiletto out offa da Danger Mouse! I tried not to make him look too much like Stan, (their head and beak shapes are different) but crows will be crows I guess. Then I stuck in Baron Greenback and his pet caterpillar, Nero. On the wrong side of the page. So I did a bit of computer jiggery-pokery and swapped them over!

Surprised I haven't commented on this yet.

Nice work I like how you have drawn these two and I must admit Stiletto looks pretty deadly here.

and i wondered how you know DM, of course, you are older then me, haha! i just love it, you brought a nostalgic twinkle to my eye man...hey, how did that show end? did he get him in the end?

The final episode ended with almost all of London (bar the pillar box) completely flattened or stolen by aliens. I don't know if they intended this to be a bleak finale, as every episode was pretty much self-contained (apart for the early serialised ones) and it didn't matter what order you watched them in generally. Greenback et all didn't appear in the final episode 'The Intergalactic 147' - all 89 episodes are available in a box-set.

And despite the fact that it's (if you'll pardon the expressionm) 'limited animation' I pee myself at a lot of those expressions and poses. 'Oooouh hinestly Fre-ad!'

ah man, wilma...hahahaha, yes ,s he really does say it like thzat! but when he says hold it...HOOOOOOOLD IT!! haha, i mean its funny situations

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Granitoons In reply to elbethius [2007-12-30 00:32:51 +0000 UTC]

And the dinosaurs and animal-skins just make it twicwe as funny. That's what most people can't see past - they (for example) can't see past the fact that my character is funny cartoon bird, and therefor refuse to look for the humour. If he were a normal human with a normal present day family, they might give him a chance.

Oh, and I want a wife like Wilma some day, or at least Betty. I recall Jean Vander Pyl describing that 'Fred' was pronounced with two sylables.

And yet The Simpsons (which I personally am not too keen on) is considered for adults! Although I get the impression that a lot of people who watch it don't even understand half of what's going on!

Great job on these classic villains! I watched old taped episodes of DM in America where Stiletto had a Cockney accent in them, so it was a shocker to hear him with an Italian accent in the original version.

Granitoons In reply to AgentC-24 [2007-10-10 08:01:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that sounds annoying - he is definately an Italian character. I've never heard the Cockney version though. He's always been Italian to me.

SWEET! I love Stiletto, too! Both him and the Baron rock! (Although Penfold is my fave, closely followed by DM.) Very well done! Once again, you have brilliantly combined the particular style/animation of the characters with your own! Again I say you are a master of adapting your style to the unique style of whatever cartoon you draw!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Granitoons In reply to Shychick [2007-10-06 18:03:52 +0000 UTC]

It's possibly due to my style being an imalgum of various stuff I've observed and grown up with along with some stuff completely out of my head and the way I see things. All artists glean from other artists, but take it in slightly different directiuons to form their own style.
