;D Kazam only made it to the second day. So sad as that was the girl.
But it's not uncommon with three of them for one to get the least inside mom.

Cute babies, for sure. I think I like the biggest or the smallest best by color.

Kazam only made it to the second day. She was the smallest and first born.
You could tell she got the less while inside the nanny as the cord was the smallest.

Yes, that often happens especially in horse twins. Someone often gets crowded out of the nutrition. That's too bad as her markings were great. I'm sorry.

It was weird as with each one of them the cords were all different sizes.
But the second born..(med size) one had the biggest cord.
Yes I feel such a great lost as I loved the markings on the girl. And I can only keep so many billys.

Yes, the markings were superior. So sad. Well, you should castrate some of the billies and make them wethers as they are gentlier, far less smelly, and better pets.

Hocus has wonderful markings and will be staying at LiL Granimals as a billy.
The other one Pocus (biggest one)has a home waiting for him. He will be castrated and a pet for a ready nice family.

OK, I like Pocus' markings better than the more white Hocus. But, they are YOUR Granimals.

Yes I know the markings are good on Pocus but Hocus has a more loving and sweet way about him. (That may change) I still feel they being only one week is too early to tell and make a choice. We see later on down the road how they are.
I had to take them to the vet yesterday. Pocus had his left eye cloud over like he was blind and refuse to stand on his right back leg. Nor did he want to eat or play as before. Thinking it might be something catching I rushed both kids to the vet. Pocus had poked his eye with something and now has eye drops. He also must have pulled his leg out and got a pain shot. This morning he is back to jumping cartwheels but his eye is still bad. That will take two weeks to heal.
Now I had figured keeping them in the house under a 24/7 watch they would be ok.
Gosh!!
The other two little kids are doing great but they have their nannies to watch over them.

I don't know what ages at which to judge goats. In Arabian horses, we figure what conformation will be from what they look like at 5 days, then 5 weeks, then 5 months, and you won't really see it again until 5 years of age. I assume other animals have such marker points, too. Since goats live between 10-15 years and mature at 3-4 years, I'd guess 1-3 days, 1-3 weeks, 1-3 months depending on your particular line. By that range I mean look at them at 1 day, 2 days and 3 days, weeks, months until you can see the maturation pattern and see which fits best.

Too bad about the eye. I've had foals do that even with watchful moms. An eyewash out of a tea of brewed eyebright usually clears them up quickly. (One tablespoon to a cup of water simmered, not boiled, for about 5 minutes then strained in a good coffee filter.) Treat BOTH eyes are they are empathetic and both will show inflammation although you don't need as much medication for the good eye.
