What I did

I made one that was largely black and white with the flowers tweaked so they looked like bright red windmills. I decided that was too busy so I started again with layer 2 as a base. I zoomed out, repositioned it, changed a few settings and the OCA to see what I was dealing with. I spread the gradient points out equally, removing some colours and adding others. Again I went with the flowers but I wasn't happy! I found a shape that I had from Barnsley Techno that seemed to complement it, broke it up and added some textures and shapes. At this stage it was very bright so I desaturated all but one layer (hence the title and no I haven't read the book) and saturated one for hi lights! Phew!!

What I did
