I suggest you take use torrents if you do not want to pay. I know one of my friends uses these torrents to play OATBF DE. I just buy the thing. Its ok to use torrents that are of similar quality, but you cannot have the full and same enjoyment as the bought one.

Based on what I've heard and seen from the trailers on Steam, I'm sure I will.

I have played both Original and DE more than 50 times and both are fun.
DE or Definitive Edition, has difficulty modes (Easy is purely for story, Medium for normal difficulty and less for story, Hard for challenge as creatures and stuff hit you 2x more hp, 1 life mode where you've only got one life)
Im still trying to finish the game with one life mode but is proves difficult, more difficult than hard mode.
If you are new for OATBF, here's my advise.
Finish Water before you enter the Blackroot Barrows and the Lost Groove.
