Here is Jessie! A request from the-kid36. I believe she is a ninja, but like an urban ninja, like Batman, but without the suit & mask. Anyway… been wanting to use the pose from my reference books for awhile now. I once again have to mention the continuity error. I didn’t know she had long hair until I looked at other pictures of her. So her hair, even if it was off to the side, is much shorter than it should be. Kinda looks good on her, but its still incorrect.I also gave her the wrong eye color...
Anyway, here she is…

... and sure Batman is a urban ninja. He’s very ninja-ery. He moves & fights in the shadows and you never see him until its too late. He scales walls and hangs out on roof tops. And does it all in the city.

Which reference books are you refering to? I need some help in that regard..

My own personal one. I've been downloading and printing out almost every pic I could get my hands on. Drawings, photos, ...everything! For years I've been doing this. Once I print them out at my job, I'd 3-hole punch and put them in a binder; my reference book. I've about 40 binder books with about 200 to 600 pages... each. All kinds of pics, women, men, robots, airplanes, monsters, cutie stuff, and porno stuff... all kinds.
Sometimes I fell guilty, like I use them to much, but I know the 'pros' use all kinds of references so why can't I. But I am working on using them less or for quick jobs like this one. For this one I used a hentai pic, the girl was in her underwear, but I liked the way she was sitting and how she has her hands. Took the basic pose and changed the rest to fit. Which a lot of times that’s what I end up using them for; body references. To see how others did it if what I’m doing is causing me problems.
The technical stuff is different though, I use those to design or to make sure I have the design right. Like with all the Robotech drawings I’ve done. My books also help with fanart like with Atomic Betty, Shego, Major Glory and others.
I guess that answers your question, sorry about the rant.

Thanks! I realize that I do the same thing as I have a "basic pose" series of pics also....the recent Aurora pic I did was from my basic pose file...what I need is more "action" reference pics...

Nicely done! For some reason I really like how the shading came out! It's slightly opaque but still is dark enough to give it a heavy three dimensional feel!
