Description Sigurd (also known as Siegfried) the legendary hero of Norse mythology. Reforging his father's sword Gram he slew the vile dragon Fafnir and in doing so claimed it's treasure and from it's blood learned the wisdom of ages.

A drawing for a calender I'm doing in my 2D design class about Norse myths. Ok so Sigurd isn't a god but I figured I'd include heroes and other important figures too!

This calender is a great excuse to drew all the Norse mythic stuff I've wanted to for ages

Awesome job. draw Thor next! btw, are you gonna draw the midgard serpent? in Tomb raider underworld, they made it so that the midgard serpent wasthe faults lines in the earth, and thats how it would destroy the earth. btw, this is your empoleon right?

Maybe, I'm thinking either Freyja or Freyr next. Won't be drawing creatures for this set but maybe in the future.
Umm somehow I don't think tomb raider came up with that by itself. Based on the way myths were created to explain the unexplainable that's probably how the legend of Jormungandr came to be in the first place - to explain tectonics.
Yeah my Empoleon is named after Siegfried
