Description
Tyr the one handed god of war and single combat from Norse mythology. The son of Odin, he was the only one brave enough to put his hand in the Fenris wolf's mouth while the other gods chained it up, and paid the price. But his skill was great enough that he still felled the hellhound Garm at Ragnarok.

Been wanting to draw Norse mythic stuff for ages and found a perfect excuse in a calender we have to design for class. It's good to draw vikings, which I haven't done seriously for a while!

Went for a more realistic look while keeping the mythic feel, and went crazy with all the layers of fur and armour

Unfortunately my teacher considers this a rough and wants the finals done digitally.. such is life I guess!
