Description
Type S Type S worlds are considered a type of ‘Ultra-Gas Giant’, their atmosphere is typically composed of Hydrogen and Helium and they are typically found outside of the ‘Goldilocks’ zone of a solar system. These planets have a liquid metallic hydrogen core and are one of the few non-star stellar bodies that can capture rouge planets on their own. What differentiates a Type S world from a Type T is that these worlds do not emit heat or light they are considered effectively ‘cold’ in that regard. Despite this the colors seen in their swirling atmospheric gasses are quite pretty and especially brightly colored Type S worlds are often tourist attractions and sites of orbital scientific research.
