Description Here is part one of my work in progress and tutorial of my "Blue Moon" drawing.
The second part will be uploaded shortly..

This is to hopefully help people see another way of drawing and coloring.

~BTW as for the referance thing, i have a HUGE bookshelf full of books on animals, i get them used alot of times at old book stores. The more photo refs you have the more you can understand the structure and grace of the animal or its environment.

I hope this helps you guys in one way or another

Canson paper, I bought that a while back and cannot find it again. Except at the craft store where it is 8 dollars instead of 2 something at the walmart lol. Where do you buy yours?

I got mine at Hobby Lobby. It was nice and cheap there, on sale it was $2 a pad.

So is it any old type of old bookstore? Or anywhere like Atlantic bookstore?

I'm trying to work on my animal anatomy and I have a really tough time finding books and stuff with reference photos of the animals I'd like to try drawing.

Agreed on the whole referencing thing. One thing I've found bothersome on this site is the number of children crying over artists "stealing poses."

What book is that you got there?! I'm always looking to add to my reference collection. :3

LOL i totally agree. Sheesh unless its some weird pose and the persona obviously traced the art and the style, i find it hard to say you can steal a pose.

Its a book called Colorado Wildlife Portfolio. Its got some great pics of north american animals.

I love feeling paper. I'll stand there and lovingly stroke each one before making a selection.
