Description Figured I'd upload one of my recent pieces (the most recent one, actually; my scanner just up and died >.< ).

Neveah (a second-gen F-22 Raptor) is an anthropromorphic jet character among many I still play in the "Wingin' It" RP at Hillbilly Hell, a Cars-centered forum. I did this recolor of an existing F-22 photo to establish her coloration and conformation as a full-grown adult. In the context of "WI," she's little more than 18 months old. The premise behind her coat's colors is that while most Raptors lose their dorsal mottling as they mature, she did not.

Her coat is patterned, in reverse, after an orca whale - light tones on top, dark tones beneath.

That would look quite striking!

And I was sort of thinking of Nevaeh when I did the jet babies for my greeting card.

"Striking" was the kind of word I had in mind when I first got the thought of what else could make her different from other Raptors, besides her origins. Real-word Raptors have a sort of camo-mottled look, but I thought some light, light gray would be something of an intriguing anomoly.

On the card, I liked the juxtaposition of a "modern" fighter and a retired one, too young to care about their differences but still fascinated by a common holiday. Or maybe that's me reading too much into it.

For some reason this reminds me of a stingray... it looks really cute though!

Thanks.

The F-22 does have that broad, wide-winged look to it. I can see how you could make a semblence to a ray.
